Today marks the launch of a new podcast series by I Fagiolini in collaboration with The Sixteen, Choral Chihuahua. I Fagiolini unveiled its new film series #NotInThisTogether last night as part of Gramophone’s ‘Winners’ Lockdown Charity Gala’ in aid of Help Musicians. The group shares its weekly series #SingTheScore, it’s online interactive venture for singers #SingTheScoreExtra, and looks forward to a new EP release of John Wilbye on CORO. Upcoming film releases including The Stag Hunt (Janequin’s 'La Chasse'), and The Full Monteverdi film which will be available online for the first time in honour of Monteverdi’s birthday anniversary on 15 May. Following the release of three new albums on 7 February highlighting his multi-faceted performing career, conductor/pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips makes his debut with Sinfonia Varsovia in the Lutoslawski Chain Festival (8 February), debuts with Zurich Chamber Orchestra (touring with Daniel Hope), celebrates his Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival’s anniversary at the Wigmore Hall, and tours his award-winning Västerås Sinfonietta to the UK in Wild Waves and Woods with Lawrence Power and Paul Watkins.

We are delighted to share that the Royal Academy of Music today unveils Jack Liebeck as its new Émile Sauret Professor of Violin, as the Australian Festival of Chamber Music announces Jack as its new Artistic Director from 2021.

Jersey Chamber Orchestra has announced Eamonn Dougan as its new Chief Conductor; this as he makes his debuts in Bilbao and Seville, conducting Handel’s Messiah for Fundacio La Caixa with Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, Sociadad Coral de Bilbao and Real Orquesta Sinfonica de Sevilla.

I Fagiolini and Robert Hollingworth’s concert season start is marked by debuts including Birmingham Symphony Hall, Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, and a significant tour to Russia as part of the UK-Russia Year of Music; film premieres - Leonardo the works is released worldwide on 29 October; Robert’s new festival directorship for the renowned Stour Music, and Robert’s conducting which includes directing a new commission by Benji Merrison and returns to RIAS Kammerchor and Capella Cracoviensis.

We are delighted to announce that Rachel Podger will be the Ambassador for REMA’s Early Music Day. We look forward to working closely with our European colleagues in the run-up to 21 March 2020. This news comes shortly after Rachel opened her six concert Artist in Residence series at London’s prestigious Wigmore Hall (an all Bach exploration), and as Rachel prepares to open her own Brecon Baroque Festival, this year celebrating the music of Bohemia.

As Jack looks forward to his 40th year, we celebrate the release of two new albums, Time and Space (songs by Holst and Vaughan Williams), and Stuart Hancock’s Raptures; Jack’s return to the recording studio with the BBC Symphony Orchestra for his next major concerto album to be released next Spring; the launch of the Salieca Piano Trio (with Thomas Carroll and Amandine Savary); fresh collaborations with Professor Brian Cox and Daniel Harding including the world premiere of a new concerto commissioned for Jack by Melbourne Symphony, Paul Dean’s A Brief History of Time.

Jack Liebeck’s Oxford May Music Festival launches today with a feast of treats for the eye and ear, including previews from upcoming albums, and stellar soloists, scientists and artists together collaborating to create his inimitable annual mix of ‘Music, Science and the Arts in creative harmony’. Also announcing Jack’s upcoming recording plans and a new concerto commission for Jack from Melbourne Symphony Orchestra by composer and clarinettist Paul Dean.

I Fagiolini unveils its new album Leonardo – Shaping the Invisible (COR16171) with the release of two singles recorded exclusively for Apple Music. The world premiere recording of The da Vinci Coda is a realisation of one of da Vinci’s own musical puzzles, brought to life for I Fagiolini by Peter Gritton. Apple Music today launches www.applemusic.com/davinci500 in collaboration with I Fagiolini.
