Robert Hollingworth: Music that changed me

In BBC Music Magazine’s Christmas edition Robert Hollingworth wrote about ‘music that changed me’. In a fascinating article he cites The King’s Singers ‘Madrigal History Tour’, Monteverdi by the Taverner Consort & Players, Count Basie, The Early Music Consort, jazz and Flanders & Swann as being influences. To read the piece in full you can order a copy of the magazine here.

To find out how these influences have informed Robert’s interpretations come and hear I Fagiolini and Hollingworth in 'Insalata I Fagiolini' at Cadogan Hall on 8 February 2013. The ensemble present a musical banquet of secular Renaissance dishes (with stagings), including works by Janequin, da Flecha, Lassus and Monteverdi. A superb opportunity to feast ones ears before the austere music of Lent takes over.
