Busy bunny Eamonn Dougan has a packed Easter schedule ahead including a new collaboration with DRVokalEnsemblet for Sir James MacMillan’s mesmerising St Luke’s Passion in Copenhagen and Brussels during Holy Week and a Stravinsky and Mozart 'eggstravaganza' with Britten Sinfonia Voices on 28 March as part of the Esa-Pekka Salonen Composer Focus at the Barbican Centre.

A consummate chamber conductor, Eamonn will also direct the renowned Corinthian Chamber Orchestra with guest star Nicola Benedetti performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto on 16 March. Looking to April, Eamonn returns to conduct the BBC Singers in a varied programme of smaller scale choral Elgar on Friday 13 April, before making his debut with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra conducting the world premiere of a new Errolyn Wallen concerto for violin, viola, accordian and string orchestra on 19 May. Eamonn continues his rigorous schedule of concerts and ‘Come and Sing’ days as Associate Conductor with The Sixteen. Later this year he returns to the opera pit to conduct Cosi fan tutte at the Ryedale Festival as well as conducting a much anticipated world premiere by Sir James MacMillan at The Cumnock Tryst  festival for its fifth anniversary.

That’s a lot of notes! Good luck Eamonn & Happy Easter all.
